Supporting youth substance abuse prevention starts with making sure that young people are not exposed to harmful substances at home. We understand if quitting isn’t possible for you right now, but limiting exposure to secondhand smoke is possible and the only way to fully protect other

  • Create a smoke-free environment by smoking outside or away from the home.
  • Avoid smoking in your car as chemicals from the smoke can linger and negatively affect the health of others.
  • If you do have tobacco products in your house, make sure they are locked away from children.
  • Never smoke around young children or teens.
