Anuvia is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider. Trainings and workshops are open to all professionals and the general public. We are currently offering our series virtually and free of charge. Opioid Syndemic and Ways to Reduce Harm

This training is designed for clinicians and non-clinicians and provides a basic understanding of the physiology of opioid addiction; the current syndemic in NC; recognizing opioid use issues and the use of medications to treat opioid dependence; new language to reduce the stigma related to addiction; HIV/HCV updates including NC prevalence; and a thorough understanding of opioid overdose prevention including the administration of naloxone, harm reduction programs including syringe exchange and NC laws that protect individuals who reverse an overdose from civil and criminal liability.
